Portraiture is a genre of photography that requires skillful techniques to capture the beauty and personality of your subject. However, even with the best equipment and skills, portraits will inevitably need some retouching to achieve that “professional“ look. Thanks to the power of artificial intelligence (AI), retouching portraits has become more accessible and efficient, and Evoto is a cutting-edge program that exemplifies this trend. In this post, we will explore how you can use Evoto's AI-powered features to retouch your portraits and achieve stunning results.
Evoto is a powerful photo retouching software that utilizes AI algorithms to analyze and enhance various aspects of portrait photos, including skin retouching, color correction, and facial feature enhancement. Let's delve into some of the key features of Evoto and how it can help you elevate your portrait photography.
Automated Skin Retouching:
Achieving flawless skin is often a top priority in portrait photography, and Evoto's AI-powered skin retouching feature makes it easy to achieve that. Evoto can automatically analyze the skin in your portraits and make intelligent adjustments to remove blemishes, scars, and other imperfections while retaining the natural texture and tone of the skin. This can save you hours of manual retouching and help you achieve professional-looking results effortlessly.
Facial Feature Enhancement:
I personally don’t often enhance face and body features, but if you need to do that, or have a client that requests that,Evoto's AI algorithms can also analyze and enhance the facial features of your subject to bring out their best qualities. You can easily adjust facial features such as eyes, nose, mouth, and jawline to achieve a more pleasing and balanced look.
Color Correction:
Accurate color balance is crucial in portrait photography, as it can greatly impact the overall look and feel of the image. Evoto's AI-powered color correction feature can automatically analyze and adjust the color balance of your portraits, ensuring accurate and vibrant colors. You can easily correct skin tones, adjust the color of clothing or background, and create a consistent color palette across your portraits with just a few clicks.
Customization Options:
While Evoto's AI-powered features can deliver impressive results automatically, the software also offers customization options for those who prefer a more hands-on approach. You can fine-tune the adjustments and settings to suit your preferences and creative style. Evoto provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to easily adjust parameters and make edits like any other editing program. I really love the fact that you can create your own presets to work best with your style of editing. If you don't want to create a preset from scratch, you can always use one of the provided presets and do some minor adjustments to get it to where you want.
Time-Saving Batch Processing:
Evoto understands the importance of time in portrait photography, especially when you have a large number of portraits to retouch. The software offers batch processing capabilities, allowing you to retouch multiple portraits at once, saving you time and effort. You can easily apply the same adjustments to a batch of portraits or create custom presets for different types of portraits, streamlining your workflow and increasing your productivity.
Whether you're a professional portrait photographer looking to streamline your workflow or an amateur photographer who wants to elevate your portraits to the next level, Evoto's AI-powered features can help you achieve stunning results
Thank you @Jeff Carpenter for recommending Evoto!
Is it perfect? Probably not. Is it good enough? Without question, yes! The headshot background removal too is maybe worth it all by itself.
Just tested on 5 headshots for a client. Evoto gives you 5 free to try. And, as soon as I tested, then I paid $80 for 1200 credits (1 credit = 1 image). And I just retouched 25 headshots in a little under an hour. Of course I got faster as I learn the interface, and the last couple I did within 3-5mins. Do I still need to use PS, yes but it's mostly for dodge and burn and fixing things Evoto can't, smooth wrinkles is one.
