This won’t be a quick answer Jeff. I’ve been using the iPad wirelessly tethered to a Canon camera for +-10 years via CamRanger (I was one of the first to buy the original, when I shot real estate, and I think he still uses some of my photos on the website). The last version 2.0 CamRanger is lites out the best way to wirelessly tether, shooting interiors, with builders, architects and interior designers on site. I’ve also see Ian Spanier using it for his portrait work very successfully of course. And I’ve even used the remote view to a second iPad feature when collaborating with designers. But it’s just to control the camera and see the jpegs/sraw, and rating. Beyond that… sure it does bracketing, focus stacking and other things but it can not retouch, or make adjustments like we can in capture one. I’ve been playing with capture one for the iPad since the beta demo came out. I couldn’t get it to work for my workflow. First issue is: one port on the iPad You can only tether and save to the iPad and then move the photos off the iPad later… or so I thought! I upgraded my iPad to the new m4 pro version. If I buy the Magic Keyboard by Apple it has an additional usbc port on the keyboard. So that frees up one to tether and the other save on a portable SSD, theoretically. So I am hoping I could use it the same way as using c1 tethered to a notebook/desk and portable SSD. But I am not be buying the keyboard until we at least get layers in c1. Til then I’m just waiting on the next c1 update. Does any of this make sense?

“Jeff’s approach is very client centered, he was super personable and a great host.  He tailored the workshop to fit my needs as a photographer and was very flexible to let the workshop unfold without a set agenda.  I was able to get tons of hands-on time with the model and was able to come home with many tremendous images to add to my portfolio.”
